Are lifeboats with all parts in proper condition without wastage, are blocks and release mechanism properly maintained as necessary?

Is reflective tape adhered as required?

Is lifeboat inventory complete and in good condition?

Are dates of expiration for pyrotechnics and foodstuff rations recorded?

5.3

Are rescue boats complete and in good condition?

Is necessary inventory as required?

5.4

Will lifeboat/rescue boat engines start easily?

Are they in good working condition?

Is the crew familiar with starting procedures?

5.5

Are life rafts with hydrostatic releases and launching arrangements in good working condition?

Are due dates for required servicing recorded?

5.6

Are launching arrangements for lifeboats/rescue boats and life rafts including embarkation ladders and illumination of the launching and embarkation area in good condition and without wastage?

5.7

Are wire falls of all launching/recovery arrangements in good condition and turned/renewed as required?

Have reversal/renewal of falls been recorded?

5.8

Are life buoys (including reflective tape, correct ship's name/home port and lights and smoke signals with their appropriate expiration dates) available in sufficient amount and in good condition?

5.9

Is a "heavy" life buoy (4.5kg) attached to the smoke/light-buoy at bridgewings in a free-fall arrangement?

5.10

Are lifejackets (including whistles plus lights and their batteries with expiration dates) available in sufficient amount and good condition?

5.11

Are line throwing appliances complete with expiration dates of the pyrotechnic units?

5.12

Are parachute distress signals available in sufficient amount and in good condition with valid expiration dates placed on the bridge in an appropriate containment?

5.13

Are immersion suits and thermal protective aids (including lights and special attachments) available in required amount and in good condition.
