Appearance and character Shopping

Nowadays there is a wide range of shops catering for different tastes and wallets. Such big shops are usually situated on the outskirts of the cities. In such shops one can find anything he needs from food to washing powder. One of the worst disadvantages of supermarkets is queuing. Markets have almost no queues and are usually situated in the open-air. By the way, the possibility to bargain makes the prices there considerably lower than in ordinary shops. A shopping center is a collection of independent retail stores, services and a parking area. Apart from markets self-service supermarkets and shopping centers stand department stores. In the department store a consumer can find: household goods, electric appliance, crockery and glassware, textiles and other departments. Some people can go to a shop which specializes in some particular goods such as bakery, butcher’s, confectioner’s and fishmonger’s.

Education

After Belarus became an independent state it started the process of self-formation which has not yet been completed. The present day Belarus is characterized by a stress of ‘national revival’ and economic crisis. Education is a powerful social and economic stabilization factor. Education in the Republic should act as one of the conditions of bringing the country out of the economic crisis. Education should act as initiator and driving force of changes and should offer to the state the leverage ['li:v(ə)rɪʤ] (рычаг) for their development through better trained specialists.

The educational system of our country has been subject to intensive reform. The main goals of it are the increasing significance of education in the society; the renewal and modernization of the training and methods of teaching; mass professionalization.
