1. School education.

Now I’m the second year student but I want to remember careless school year and my school education. That’s why I want to tell you a few words about my school life and my school education, because school education plays very important part in life of every person and mine too.

I entered state comprehensive school at 7years old. My school number is 1021 and it is situated in Moscow in district under name «Posoelok Vostochniy». There are two schools in our district. My school is a three-storey white building, and pupils called it «white school». It is located not far from my home and I got to it during 10 or 15 minutes.

I went to school 5 days a week. Our lessons began at 8 o’clock in the morning and finished at 1 or 2 o’clock in the afternoon. And you make a conclusion that every day we had 6 or 7 lessons. We usually had a lot of homework. Sometimes we wrote compositions, expositions or prepared reports.

During 9 years of our school education we had some compulsory courses such as math, history, geography, chemistry and so on and some optional courses: music, painting, drawing and low. Every student had their favorite subjects. My favorite subjects were math, because it is very interesting and cognitive subject, history, because it gives us a chance to know about past of our population and about history of different ancient countries and English of course.

We have 2 or 3 English lessons a week. English plays an important part in my life, because it helps people in different countries, to develop friendship and understanding. And today English is the language of international communication.

I graduated 9 school’s forms at 16. It was in 2000 year. And some my classmates and I decide to entered in college. I entered MADK and studied there 3 years and I finished it in 2003 year. I remember these years with pleasure, because it was happy years.

In the summer of 2003 year I passed math and physics I entered MADI. And now I’m the 2 year student.

2. My institute.

Now I’m the second year student and I want to tell you a few words about my institute and my higher education, because higher education is the first stage of the adult life of every person and mine too.

I graduated 9 school’s forms at 16. It was in 2000 year. And some my classmates and I decide to entered in college. I entered MADK and studied there 3 years and I finished it in 2003 year.

There are many different institutes In Moscow, but I decided to entered MADI, because to my mind it is famous for its high quality education and MADI has a rich history in the spheres of education, training, research, student development, community service and commerce. And In the summer of 2003 year I passed math and physics I was entered in MADI for economic faculty.

MADI is situated in Moscow in district under name «Airport» on Leningradskiy Prospect Street, 64. It is located in two building. MADI is one of the largest Moscow institute. There are over several thousand students studying in MADI and there are 25 or 30 students in each group.

MADI have their hostels, which situated not far from institute, and some of the students live in it.

As our institute is technical institute there are over 19 laboratories in it, which equipped modern machinery. And some students make at these laboratories their experiments.

I have many friends which study in MADI. Some of them study at day-time form of education (course), some of them at evening and some of them at correspondence course and complete courses last 5 or 6 years.

Students study 5 or 4 days a week and their studding day last 5 or 6 o’clock and you make a conclusion that every day students have 3 or 4 pairs.

There are many subjects, which we study in MADI. They divide into 2 parts: general subjects (math, history, English) and special subjects economics, finance and credit and so on.

The students of MADI not only spend time in classrooms and laboratories learning about their chosen discipline, they also participate in a variety of "out-of-class" experiences.

3. City traffic of future.

I want to tell you a few words about the city traffic of future, because at the present time many big cities have problems with city traffic and Governments and scientists try to solve this problem. And you may ask me the question: «What will city traffic of future look like in a few years»? And I will try to answer it, because every year many quite different inventions are introduced in different countries, but unfortunately not in Russia.

In my opinion, own automobile is the most convenient kind of city traffic, but now automobiles strongly pollute the environment. And most of inhabitants in large cities suffer heavily from it. Therefore automobiles, which will be working on non-polluting kinds of fuel, such as gas, electricity and so on will be issued in the future.

The appearance of «flying automobiles» is also possible in the future. They will be similar to modern machines, but will fly as planes. Probably by means of such automobiles we will be able solve the problem of traffic congestion.

As I think, humanity will invent machines which will be driven by a computer, and a passenger will simply be enjoying a trip and a view from a window.

All air transport will change too. New models of planes, which speed will grow, will appear, and flight will become more comfortable. The majority of flights will pass on supersonic speeds so to occupy less time. And to my mind, it is possible, that in aircraft construction, our country will occupy leading positions in the world market.

Application of specially designed private aircraft in a city limits will become possible.

Moving pavement will probably created in the nearest future. It is device intended for carrying pedestrians. It moves at the speed of 3,5 km per hour. Such moving can be used in business centers or international airports.

In the future will receive the development of underground and other kinds of railway transport, as the fastest, the most comfortable and the most important non-polluting kinds of city transport. Cars will be made more comfortable and convenient and speed of transportations will greatly increase . Them will finish with the most remote areas of city.

4. The scientist I’d like a new street to be named after.

There were many outstanding scientists during the all mankind history, such as Bell, Newton, Pavlov, Lomonosov, Einstein and so on. But to my mind the most outstanding scientist is Andrei Sakharov. And if I can, I would like street to be named after is Andrei Sakharov.

Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov, an outstanding scientist and public figure, was born on the 21st of May, 1921, into the family of teachers. He graduated from Moscow University in 1942. In 1947 he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Science. In 1953 he defended his Doctorate thesis and was elected member of the Academy of Sciences.

Sakharov played a decisive role in developing the Soviet hydrogen bomb. While working on the bomb he came to the conclusion that any atomic and nuclear weapons should be banned.

In 1966 he took part in his first human rights demonstration, a one-minute silent protest in Pushkin Square. A year later, he wrote a letter to Communist Party leader Leonid Brezhnev defending imprisoned dissidents.

He fought courageously for human rights in the former USSR and in 1975 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

His international repute as a scientist kept him out of jail, but in 1980 he was deprived of all his titles and orders and exiled to the city of Gorky. In Gorky he continued to work for peace, justice and human rights.

It was Michail Gorbachev who helped A. Sakharov to return to Moscow. He was given back all his titles and 3 years later he was elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet.

Sakharov died in 1989. He is remembered by everybody as an outstanding humanist, one of the best representatives of humankind who could teach and inspire and who foresaw the changes that are taking place now.
