SUBJECT – VERB AGREEMENT

Nouns ending with S

- mathematics, physics, economics; aerobics etc

- news; means; series

Collective nouns

- group; company; team; staff; police; jury; government; committee; crowd; family etc)

The team is very effective.

Phrases introduced by

The majority of the workers were fired.

The majority of the staff was dissatisfied.

Choose the correct form of the verb from the brackets

Exercise 3

Create similar exercise, print it on an A4 sheet of paper and bring to the class so that the fellow students could work with it. (no less than 15 sentences)
