As … as – такой же как English is as difficult as German. not so … as – не такой как This child is not as tall as that one. not as … as – не такой как Kate is not so lazy as her brother.
Не забывайте употреблять союз than при употреблении сравнительной степени прилагательного. Tom is taller than Kate. The new cinema is much bigger than the old one.
