“back to the childland”
On the 1st day of spring we had our Club’s meeting. It was devoted to a happy, funny, lovely, merry, sweet unforgettable … period of our life called Childhood. Masha B., Katya, Nadya, Ira, Lena B., Pavel, Lena F., Taras, Mr. Edward and me were sitting round the table, telling various funny stories from our past, showing photos and simply chatting about how young we were. The atmosphere was nice and all of us spoke English quite well. After all we relaxed a little bit and had a kind of “sweet table”: candies and cookies with coffee. At the very end of our meeting we took a picture and with a good mood went back home. I hope before long we’ll meet again in our Club and more students will join our company.
- When Pavlo was a baby his Dad wanted to record his voice on the tape. A father asked: “Say mama, papa…” Little Pavlik who was a bull said: -NO!
- When Lena F. was two years old she liked to take somebody’s baby carriages and run with it along the street as quickly as possible!
- Once little Masha didn’t want to eat soup. Her Mom insisted, Masha refused and put the plate with soup on her head!
- When Ira met her friend Inna she couldn’t remember her name for a long time!
- Nadya’s Mom bought her a new dress. The happy Nadya went for a walk, found a puddle and had a bath: “Kup – kup…”
- Usually little Artem went to a military base where he explored cars and tanks. Once we he came back from there he found some money in the grass and spent them immediately in a German shop.
- Taras’s brightest moments in his childhood are connected with the time when he stayed in the kindergarten or with his Grandma.
- Katya remembers the way she fought with a rooster while staying in the village and crying: “Babus’ka, help me!”
- Lena B. once was with her parents at the seaside. She saw an artificial camel for taking pictures with and was very afraid of it. She believed it could spit upon her.
