Grammar

past simple: worked, stopped, went, had, etc. past continuous: was/were + verb + -ing

♦ Use the past simple for finished pas actions: ♦ Use the past continuous to describe an action

past perfect: had + past participle

♦ Use the past perfect when you are talking about the past and you ant to talk about an earlier past action.

1) Complete the text with the correct form of the verbs in brackets: past simple, past continuous or past perfect
