a. One of the objectives of the Beryl project is "to provide weekly status reports via the Internet in the form of a Web Page." How would this support the process? What characteristics and information should one of these status reports contain?

The SPMP document should include reports about each work of each project team member in order to develop and correct completion of the project. Every member should write reports to his own responsibilities.

Team Leader – should send report about each member’s work and divide them by their responsibilities from every meetings.

Support Manager – report about configuration and making back-up copy of the product, they might send schedules or prototype and description of the configuration.

Development Manager – should include in a report requirements and results of testing. For example, percentage readings from social survey.

Planning Manager – writes in project the requirements for each cycle of the project. They should wrtite about how project develops by certain plan. And give exact steps to perform that tasks in time.

Process & Quality Assurance Manager – makes monitoring from plannig manager. Writes report about execution of every tasks and their quality. They can attach data for how many percentage does the work done.

Customer Liaison Manager – should write about clients and what they want to the product be. They should always be in communication with clients and include in a report client’s pros and cons about the product.

  1. What is the relationship of the cycles defined for the Beryl project and the phases proposed by Royce? Are they consistent?

Beryl project and phases proposed by Royce are consistent.

Inception phase: change requests, project definition, team roles, requirements and specifications, project milestones.

Elaboration phase: budget and resource, schedule, time commitments, tea, methods and techniques,

Construction phase: development strategy, risk management, reviews.

Transaction phase: project support functions, documentation.
