Для правильного выполнения контрольной работы №4 необходимо усвоить следующий грамматический материал:

1. Неличные формы глагола the Infinitive, the Gerund, the Participle I,

the Participle II. Функции неличных форм глагола в предложении.

2. Неличные формы глагола в различных грамматических конструкциях и особенности их перевода на русский язык.

3. Видовременные формы глагола в действительном и страдательном залогах (повторение).

4 Правила согласования времен (повторение).

1.Подчеркните The Infinitive и определите его функции.

1.She was absent yesterday, she may have been ill. 2. It is pleasant to swim in the water of the lake. 3. He ordered the windows to be shut. 4. She watched the children play in the yard. 5. I am pleased to have met him yesterday.

2. Переведите следующие предложения на русский язык.

1. I am not going to stay here any longer. 2. I can hear them sing songs round the camp fire. 3. To know English means first of all to be able to speak English. 4. “Will you help me to lay the table, dear?” said the mother. 5. It was wrong of you not to help him with his problems. 6. It was useless to speak to him; he will do what he has decided to.

3. Определите функции инфинитива в предложениях

1. To live here is very pleasant. 2. Your duty is to look after your younger sister. 3. I want to come earlier today. 4. Now it is your turn to be on duty. 5. It is never too late to learn.

4.Переведите предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на перевод герундия ( The Gerund ).

1. The travelers continued moving towards the collective farm because they wanted to spend the night there. 2. She didn’t stop reading until it was too dark to read. 3. Making a fire is very difficult in the rain. 4. She was tired of listening to his jokes. 5. When he was a boy he dreamed of becoming a cosmonaut. 6. After reading the letter I put it into the drawer.

5. Откройте скобки, употребив герундий ( the Gerund).

6. Закончите предложения, используя герундий ( the Gerund).

7. Измените следующие предложения в соответствии с моделью.

8. Подчеркните причастие настоящего времени ( the Participle I) Определите его функцию в предложении. Переведите предложения на русский язык.

1.My father and I spent an hour or so discussing our family problems. 2. I was so pensive considering it. 3. He listened to me attentively catching each my word.

4. Going into the house he hoped to meet her there. 5. Having admitted she loved him she was frightened. 6. Generally speaking this problem is not so easy as it seems to be.

9. Переведите следующие предложения на английский язык, используя причастие настоящего времени ( the Participle I).

1. Он остановился, не понимая, что происходит. 2. Рассказав все, что он знал, он вышел из комнаты. 3. Ожидая нас на улице, он очень замерз. 4. Когда его попросили принять участие в концерте, он тут же согласился. 5. Сильно устав, она решила лечь пораньше.

10.Откройте скобки, используя the Participle I или the Participle II.

11. Переведите предложения, учитывая правила согласования времен.

1. He says that he is going to the theatre with his cousin. 2. He told me that the train left at 2 o`clock sharp. 3. I said we were going on an excursion to the museum. 4. He said he had come very late. 5. She said she would leave the book on the table.

12. Переведите следующие предложения на английский язык, учитывая правила согласования времен

1. Он сказал, что еще не перевел весь текст. 2. Она сказала, что скоро пойдет домой. 3. Он сказал, что изучал в школе английский язык. 4. Она сказала, что у нее нет денег, чтобы заплатить по счету. 5. Она сказала, что книга, которую мы обсуждаем, очень интересная. 6. Он спросил, куда мы идем, Мы ответили, что мы идем в кино.
