Is charisma important in career in management?

Nowadays many people think that charisma is the most important quality, which helps to reach success, but others do not agree with this opinion. The main question is: “Do we really have to be charismatic to be the best managers?”

Firstly, charismatic people are brilliant communicators. The audience will never listen to you if you are not able to express your ideas. Surely, not charisma only helps leaders to impress the audience, but self-confidence, eloquence and sociability. Managers need such qualities because of constant connecting with different people. Secondly, if you are a charismatic person, people will be attracted by you. This quality helps to make as more as possible friends, because of positive vision and ideas. I have a great example of a charismatic person. It is Alla Pugacheva. Nowadays there are not much fans of her among young people, but some years ago, she changed the whole existence of Russian music. Nobody could stay indifferent to her songs, because of her energy and attraction.

On the other hand, some people argue that charisma has such a great influence on career development. They think that it is enough to be smart and pragmatic to make right decisions and to achieve something. Such people value organized hard-working and serious people. They probably do not like too emotional characters, because it distracts from important work.

In conclusion, it should be said that there is no concrete answer to this question. Everybody finds their own way of achieving aims.
