A: Good morning, Mrs. Turner. How are you?
B: Good morning, Mr. Jackson. I’m very well, thank you. And how are you?

B: I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you’ll soon get over it.
Dialogue 2
A: Good morning.
B: Good morning. How are you today?
A: Just fine, thanks. How are you?

Dialogue 3
A: Good morning, Ann! What luck running into you!

A: Thank you, bright.
Dialogue 4.
A: Very glad to see you again! How’s all your family?
B: Thank you, all are well. And how are you?

Dialogue 5.

B: Mr. N., if I’m not mistaken.
A: No other.
Dialogue 6.
A: Excuse me, but I’m afraid I will have to be going. I promised to be home by six. (6).
B: Thank you, I will. It was nice to see you again. Give my best wishes to your aunt and parents.
A: Thank you. Goodbye.
B: Goodbye.
Dialogue 7.
A: I’ve come to say good-by.
B: When are you off?
A: I’m flying home on Sunday.
B: Good-bye then, and all the very best. (7).
A: Cheerio. Say good-bye to the rest of the family for me, won’t you?
Dialogue 8.

B: What time are you leaving?
A: I’m going to try to get away by ten.

A: Mrs. Moore, (9). This is Mr. Pearce. James, this is Mrs. Moore. She works in the same office as my sister.
B: How do you do?

A: My sister Ann.
B: (10), Miss Ann.
A: So am I.
3. Translate the dialogues into English
Dialogue 1.

В: Привет, Джоан. Давно тебя не видел. Как поживаешь?
А: Лучше не бывает. А ты как?
В: Не очень хорошо, могло бы быть и лучше.
А: Что случилось?
В: Кажется, я простудился.
А: Мне жаль это слышать. Надеюсь, ты скоро выздоровеешь.
Dialogue 2.
А: Я пришла попрощаться.
В: Когда ты едешь?
А: Я улетаю в субботу в 8 вечера на недельку.
В: Что ж, до свидания. Передавай привет родителям и друзьям.
А: Спасибо, обязательно.
В: До встречи.
А: Увидимся в следующее воскресенье.
Dialogue 3.
А: Кристина, ты знакома с Кливом?
В: Нет, не думаю.
А: Могу я представить мою подругу? Кристина, это Клив Барлоу. Клив, это Кристина Максимова из России.
В: Приятно познакомиться, Клив.
С: Взаимно. Как тебе Лондон?
В: Он немного не такой, как я себе представляла.
С: Не волнуйся, ты скоро привыкнешь к нему.
В: Извините, но боюсь, я должна идти. Я обещала быть дома в 9.
А: Тогда до свидания и всего наилучшего.
В: До свидания. Попрощайся за меня с остальными гостями.
