PROCEDURE:

(1)Inward·boundvessels should advise ETA Rade de la Carosse at least 48h in advance or on departure from the previous port if under 48h. This message is normally passed via the agent to lhe Hr Mr Rouen who advises the Pilots, and should contain the following information:

(a)Vessel'sname and call sign

(b)ETA Rade de la Carosse

(c)Speed

(d)Last port of call

(e)Destination and ETA

(f)Maximum sea water draught

(g)Cargo information

(h)Possible defects, damage or deficiencies (vessel or cargo)

(2)5h prior to arrival, vessels must confirm to the Hr Mr or Pilots by telex or fax the

following information:

(a)ETA Rade de Ia Carosse

(b)MaXimum sea water draught

(c)Speed

(3)3h prior to arrivaf, vessels must contact Rouen Port Control on VHF Ch 73.

(4)Vessels must request authorisation from Rouen Port Control before entering the channel.

(5)Vessels must maintain watch on VHF Ch 73, or the prescribed VHF Channel, wring passage from the estuary to Rauen.

(6)Reporting: Vessels must advise Rouen Port as follows:

(a)Time of entry into lhe channel

(b)Time of passing La Bouille (49°21'·OON 0056'·OOE)inward and outward bound

(c)Any incident affecting navigation in the Seine (fog. unforeseen anchoring. displaced buoy, vessel in difficulty, etc.)

(d)After passing Caudebec-en·Caux, the number of tugs required for arrival

(7)Outward·boundvessels must advise ETD at least 4h in advance, and confirm 2h before departure, to the Hr Mr. providing the following Information:

(a)Vessel'sname and call sign

(b)ETD

(c)Berth

(d)Destination and ETA

(e)Whether a Pilot is required

(f)Maximum draught

(g)Cargo information

(h)Possibfe defects, damage or deficiencies (vessef or cargo)

INFORMATION:

(1)The Port of Rouen will transmit, on request, information regarding visibility in the river, navigational condtions and weather reports on VHF Ch 73.

(2)Information conceming water levels between the estuary and Caudebec·en·Caux are broadcast every 5mins on VHF Ch 82.

(3)Rouen Port will transmit. on request, water levels between Le Havre and Rouen on VHF Ch 73.

RADAR ASSISTANCE:

(1) The area of radar coverage extends 20 miles Wof HonHeur's radar to Aizier (325

km).

(2) On request via VHF Ch 73, Radar Honlleur will provide navigational information.
