Проводиться за епідемічними показаннями особам із груп ризику (ветеринарам, тваринникам, працівникам ферм, молоко- і м'ясокомбінатів) живою вакциною з штаму М 44. Вакцина може бути введена внутрішньошкірно, підшкірно, нашкірно. Ревакцинацію в разі необхідності здійснюють через 2 роки.
