TRAINING RADIO ENGINEERS
I am a second year student of the Omsk State Technical University which was founded in 1942. There are 10 departments at our University. I study at the Radioengineering department. It is one of the largest departments. The Radioengineering department was founded in 1961. Our department is closely connected with the industry of the Omsk region. The Radioengineering department trains radioengineers of the following specialities:
Designing and technology of radioelectronic apparatus
Radioengineering
Systems of diagnostics and non-destructive control
Mobile means of communication
Complex information protection
Industrial electronics
A radioengineer should have a skill of designing and “making alive” new original devices of versitile application: for communication, broadcasting, audio and video recording processing, medicine, space investigation, measuring instruments. The leading chairs of the Radioengineering department are Designing and producing radioapparatus, Radioengineering devices and means of diagnostics, Technology of electronic apparatus, Means of communication.
There are many laboratories at the Radioengineering department: the laboratory of the fundamentals of metrology, the laboratory of microprocessors systems, the laboratory of design, the laboratory of analog technique, acoustic systems, electricalradiomeasurements signal processors, the laboratory of physical and sensor electronics, technological design, pirometers investigations, physical and chemical methods of analyses and sources of supply, the laboratory of technical means of information protection, digital devices, radiotechnical circuits and signals, the laboratory of UHF devices.
The students of the Radioengineering department study the following special subjects: designing electronic devices, fundamentals of automation and automation control systems, electrodynamics and designing UHF devices, analog and digital electronics, designing receiving and transmitting devices, application of microprocessors systems, acoustic control, computing modelling in radioengineering, radiowave, heat and acoustic control, fundamentals of television, radioreceiving and radiotransmitting devices, automation systems of quality control and diagnostics, light technique, physical electronics, microelectronics and solid body electronics, electronic devices, industrial electronics, microsystem technique, fundamentals of the theory of circuits, electronics, electrical engineering, digital radioreceiving devices, systems and mobile means of communication circuits.
A radioengineer can work in scientific research laboratories, at industrial enterprises, in design offices, at television centers, in workshops for repairing complex home radioapparatus.
MY SPECIALITY IS RADIOENGINEERING
The most universal of all specialities of the Radioengineering Department is the speciality Radioengineering. The student of this speciality should have a good command of the mathematical and physical fundamentals of the theory of linear and non-linear radiotechnical circuits, signals, as well as propagation of radiowaves, principles of designing effective antennas.
MY SPECIALITY IS DESIGNING AND TECHNOLOGY
OF RADIOELECTRONIC DEVICES
There are the following specializations: control and service, producing and marketing of radioelectronic devices; designing radioelectronic devices; information technologies of designing radioelectronic devices. The leading chairs of this speciality are “Designing and producing radioapparatus” and “Technology of electronic apparatus”. The chair “Designing and producing radioapparatus” is one of the oldest chairs at the Radio-engineering department. The graduates successfully work in various branches of industry. Every industrial plant applies achievements of electronic devices. Nowadays a designer of radioelectronic devices should have a good command of microprocessor technique and radioelectronics.
MY SPECIALITY IS INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS
OF QUALITY CONTROL AND DIAGNOSTICS
Providing hign quality goods is one of the most important tasks that the manufacturer has nowadays. The company cannot be prosperous and successful if it doesn’t care of its goods quality. Among the ways of solving this problem there is development, producing and introduction of instruments and methods of quality control and diagnostics. The students of this speciality are taught the following special subjects: computer science, mathematical simulation of physical processes, signal processing.
The devices of the non – destructive control are used in medicine, food industry, petrochemistry, etc. The engineers should study properties of substances, interaction of the fields analysis, signals processing.
The specializations are: vibration diagnostics, medical instruments, hardware means of telecommunications control.
MY SPECIALITY IS MOBILE MEANS OF COMMUNICATION
The students of this speciality study cellular , digital systems of signals processing , modelling of communication systems . The leading chair is “Means of communication“. The students of this speciality can specialize in the field of information protection in radio communication systems . The graduates can work in scientific research institutes , in departments for cellular , paging communication .
The motto of the communication of the XXI century is “ Radiobroadcasting is everywhere , - whenever , wherever and with everybody ”.
MY SPECIALITY IS INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS
This speciality is connected with the specialization “ Electronic control and information systems “. The graduates can work in any field of industry , in control and control electronic devices of any technological processors in electrical engineering , chemistry and petrochemistry , at enterprises of building industry , electronic industry , electronic devices and mobile means of communication , in home and medical apparatus , apparatus for electronical supply and control measuring instruments . The students study the principles of operating electronic devices , different meters , measuring instruments , apparatus for combining with computers and modern software for information processing .
The leading chair is “ Technology of electronic apparatus ”. The students are taught the following subjects: microelectronics , microprocessors , computing technique . There are many laboratories equipped with unique technological installation and personal computers .
