4. Requirements to coursework completion
4.1. Requirements to explanatory note execution
Text of explanatory note has to be typed on PC and printed on standard A4 format sheets; it’s permissible to prepare it in writing. The text should be generated in required logic sequence, adding explanations and references to literature sources used.
Conventional letter based symbols shall comply with applicable standards.
In general cases calculations shall contain the following:
sketch drawing or diagram of product under calculation;
calculation assignment indicating parameter to be defined during calculation;
data for calculation;
calculation.
Sketch drawing or diagram of product can be drawn in a free scale, ensuring clear presentation of calculated product.
Transcript of symbols included into formula (if used in the text for the first time) shall be indicated under formula directly.
All calculations shall be performed in SI units. Sufficient accuracy requirement is to keep three sound digits, excluding geometrical dimensions of inter-axial spacing and wheel diameter, where accuracy of two decimal places of mm has to be provided.
Calculations should be presented in the following way: firstly, values to be calculated are written in general manner, then all values are lined up in the same order as they are arranged in formula, and then the final result of calculation.
Words abbreviation in the text of explanatory note is not allowed, excluding generally common cases like etc.
Information regarding literature source shall contain the following: last name and initials of the author, title, place of printing, publication house, year of publication.
All pages of explanatory note shall have continuous numbering (title sheet is considered to be first page without any page number on it).
4.2. Requirements to completion of coursework graphic section
Assembly drawing shall be generated in 1:1 scale. In some cases increased or reduced scales can be applied as per GOST 2.302-68 (Table 12)
