27. What ways of getting job you know? Which ones do you think you will use?

You can find the job due to on-campus recruiting, career fairs, networking through personal contacts and going to events such as conferences, writing to specific companies with your résumé and a covering letter, internet job sites, company websites, classified ads in newspapers and professional magazines.

More job leads are developed through networking than any other method. Networking involves using the vast numbers of people that you know -- your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, customers, vendors, associates, etc. -- as information sources for job leads. The more people in your network, and the more people each person in your network knows, the larger your network and the greater number of job leads.

Numerous types of career and job fairs occur regularly. Companies send employees to these fairs to meet and recruit top prospects. Your goal is to prepare beforehand and identify the key employers in attendance and then develop a strategy for breaking through the clutter of perhaps thousands of other job-seekers.

28. What is the main aim of job interview for the employer and the potential employee?

A job interview is a process in which a potential employee is evaluated by an employer for prospective employment in their company, organization, or firm. During this process, the employer hopes to determine whether or not the applicant is suitable for the role.

A job interview typically precedes the hiring decision, and is used to evaluate the candidate.

The interview is usually preceded by the evaluation of submitted résumés from interested candidates, then selecting a small number of candidates for interviews. Potential job interview opportunities also include networking events and career fairs.

Why Job Interviews are so Important? A bad hiring decision can be immensely expensive for an employer. The costs associated with hiring a candidates, training, severance pay, loss of productivity, impact on morale, cost of re-hiring, and other factors can be very large.

29. How can an applicant impress an interviewer? How to be well-prepared for the job interview?

One of the secrets of great interviewing is knowing something about the company where you are looking for a job.

Practice a lot. For example, carry out mock interviews with other students! colleagues or a career counselor. Also, if you are a student then have some on-campus interviews with companies who come to visit — just to gain confidence and experience. Use an Internet search engine to research Frequently Asked Interview Questions.

It is very important to be well prepared for a job interview. A common reason employers give for not hiring candidates is the inability of candidates to fully explain the contents of his or her CV. It is very important that you are able to discuss every item listed on your CV, and if possible to give examples where appropriate. It is also wise to research the company you will be interviewing at, before your interview, as well as preparing for common interview questions.
