Perfect Infinitive
The delegation is said to have left Moscow.
This house seems to have been built by a good ar chitect.
2. После прилагательных с глаголом-связкой — to be glad, to be happy, to be sorry, to be surprised и некоторые другие, а также после оборота it is clever (silly, kind) of you и некоторые другие для выражения предшествующего действия:
I am glad to have met him.
He is happy to have been invited there.
I was sorry to have said it.
It is clever of you to have agreed to his proposal.
Не must have forgotten about it. The letter may have been sent to the wrong address.
Can they have gone there?
Can this work have been done in such a short time? He can't have refused to help her.
5. После модальных глаголов should, would, could, might, ought и was (were) для выражения действия, которое должно было или могло совершиться, но в действительности не совершилось:
Не
should (ought to) have
gone there.
You
could have
helped him.
The
goods were to
have been delivered
at
the beginning of May.
to intend, to hope, to expect, to mean
I intended to have finished my work last night.
I hoped to have met him there.
