Exercise 1. Comment on the use of the Future Simple in the following sentences. Translate the sentences into Russian.

1. Our lessons will start at 9 o’clock. 2. I shall graduate next year. 3. He will be here any minute. 4. We’ll talk about our plan and then we’ll have dinner. 5. Spring will come soon. 6. This job won’t take us long. 7. We shan’t have much time to see your mother. 8. I’m sure he’ll come back. 9. What would you like to drink? - I’ll have an orange juice, please. 10. Exercise 2. Put the verbs in brackets into the Future Simple.

Exercise 3. Peter wants to see Sally. He is talking to her on the telephone. Complete the conversation using will/won’t.

Peter: You (be) at home this evening, Sally?

Sally: Well, I’m working late. I don’t expect I (finish) until after 9.00, so I (not to be) home until quite late.

Peter: Oh, I see. What about tomorrow? You (be) free for lunch?

Sally: No, I’m afraid I (be) in a meeting at lunch time.
