Getting into Honours is NOT automatic; you must have achieved a good standard of work in your first two years at the University. Some Honours programmes are under considerable pressure and entry levels are set high.

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING

The Faculty of Engineering offers the following degrees: Master of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technological Education,

Bachelor of Technology Studies.

The experience in educating highly qualified engineering students has demanded a continued revision of the courses with the result that there is a structure which allows undergraduate students to follow a wide range of courses

Degree program organization.

The degrees aim to integrate the subjects of engineering, the activity of engineering and the role of the engineer in society.

The first year curriculum comprises engineering mathematics and science, elementary engineering and varying combinations of management business, financial andимениlanguage options.

The degree courses include the professional skills of communication, computing and managerial responsibility. Foreign language options in French and German are available at both beginners and more advanced level.

The faculty offers a large range of MEng degrees and is expanding the

ГУМРФcurrent portfolio for students who show ability and demonstrate potential managerial qualities. The MEng degrees include an industrial project and often involve an international partnership.

Accreditation and professional qualifications.

The MEng and BEng degrees provide the academic training and personal development required for students who wish to work as professional engineers.

All the Honours degrees offered by the Faculty are accredited by their respective professional bodies.
