Ideal upbringing.Bringing up a child is a commitment обязательство. All human beings aspire to have an ideal child стремиться . When a child is born in a family, all members concentrate on shaping and moulding формувані the child in an ideal manner. However, in the whole process, people forget that a child is an individual entity істота, who is young, innocent, energetic, experimentative and still learning. Therefore, we need to create a suitable environment for the child that is love, respect, knowledge and values so that the child grows according to his/her capabilities.

We should nurture воспитывать our children with values such as truth, beauty and honesty. These values are at home, at school and various other social setups.

.From a very early stage, children should be prepared to face the situations that they will have to face in today's world. Parents and teachers need to educate children in such a manner that they absorb all good qualities one can think of. Educating children in this manner will help them develop good traits, characters and personalities. They will also be able to possess the following qualities:

Good-temperament ,honesty ,cheerfulness,

obedience,optimistic ,courage.

Children and TV.Most kids plug into the world of television long before they enter school. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that kids under 2 years old not watch any TV and that those older than 2 watch no more than 1 to 2 hours a day of quality programming.

The first 2 years of life are considered a critical time for brain development. TV and other electronic media can get in the way of exploring, playing, and interacting with parents and others, which encourages learning and healthy physical and social development. As kids get older, too much screen time can interfere with activities such as being physically active, reading, doing homework, playing with friends, and spending time with family.Of course, TV in moderation can be a good thing: Preschoolers can get help learning the alphabet on public television, grade schoolers can learn about wildlife on nature shows, and parents can keep up with current events on the evening news. No doubt about it — TV can be an excellent educator and entertainer.

But despite its advantages, too much television can be detrimental:

1)Children who consistently spend more than 4 hours per day watching TV are more likely to be overweight.

2)Kids who view violent acts are more likely to show aggressive behavior but also fear that the world is scary and that something bad will happen to them.

3)TV characters often depict risky behaviors, such as smoking and drinking, and also reinforce gender-role and racial stereotypes.

Children learn what they live.

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.

At first they become fearful of criticism, and almost fanatical in their desire to be conventional and correct. But it is impossible to be correct all the time. Children make mistakes and their parents can’t stop criticizing them. In this atmosphere you can’t help learning to condemn.

If children live with praise, they learn appreciation

Praise is a particular form of attention. Unfortunately parents are often quick to criticize and slow to praise. They shouldn’t be afraid to overpraise their child! The whole world will tell what’s wrong with him – loud and often. Parents would better tell him what is right about him.

If children live with hostility, they learn to fight

What can see a child whose everyday reality is hostility? Hostility outside, hostility at home. Poor child tries to escape this hopelessness and goes into his shell. This process often causes 2 variants of child’s future character. He may become sulky and listless or on the contrary imprudent and distractive.

If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty

Unfortunately there is a category of people in society whom that is absolutely forbidden to have children. If it happens they should be especially educated and trained to get a proud name “parents”. But still unhappy families are our reality. Children suffers from wrong treatment. If parents don’t love their child, compare with other children he will feel shame all his life. All his spoiled, due to his parents, life.

Harsh discipline

Studies have suggested that socioeconomic status and education of parents tend to determine the type of child discipline from natural consequences to much harsher discipline, partially because some parents hold stronger beliefs about the value of spanking and experience higher levels of stress.

Effective discipline helps children learn to control their behavior so that they act according to their ideas of what is right and wrong, not because they fear punishment. For example, they are honest because they think it is wrong to be dishonest, not because they are afraid of getting caught.

Physical punishment usually doesn't work for several reasons. First, it makes the child hate himself and others. It makes the child think that there must be something awfully wrong with him to be treated so badly. Parents who use physical punishment are setting an example of using violence to solve problems or solve conflicts, because Children imitate their parents' behavior.

Babying or pampering is usual for permissive parents.

Permissive parents:

*Have few rules or standards of behavior

*When there are rules, they are often very inconsistent

*Are usually very nurturing and loving towards their kids

*Often seem more like a friend, rather than a parent.

Children raised by babying:

*Lack self-discipline

*Sometimes have poor social skills

*No matter how much you give him\she, they are never happy. It never seems to be enough.

*May be self-involved, demanding and disrespectfull

*child has no regard for others wants and needs.

*child expects others to take responsibility for him or her.

*child is angry

THE BRITISH MASS MEDIA

Media of the UK consist of several different types of communications media: television, radio, newspapers, and Internet-based Web sites. The UK has a diverse range of providers, the most prominent being principle public service broadcaster, the BBC . Newspapers are the oldest of the mass media. Two groups: the quality press( are distinguishable easily by the unimpressive, but not confusing graphic).and popular press (tabloids) (have fewer pages, are written with a simple language and have very short articles with big headlines and many photos and illustrations). In Britain radio and television broadcasting is mainly provided by the British Broadcasting Corporation , which has four radio and television channels.

Media of the USA. Many of the media are controlled by large for-profit corporations who reap revenue from advertising, subscriptions, and sale of copyrighted material. American media conglomerates tend to be leading global players, generating large revenues as well as large opposition in many parts of the world. Newspapers have declined in their influence and penetration into American households over the years. The U.S. does not have a national paper. The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal are sold in most U.S. cities.

American radio broadcasts in two bands: FM and AM. Some stations are only talk radio – featuring interviews and discussions – while music radio stations broadcast one particular type of music. Television. 99 % of American households have at least one television and the majority of households have more than one. The four major broadcasters in the U.S. are the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) and Fox. Public television has a far smaller role than in most other countries.

TV:horizons or disease.Every single evening millions of people around the world sit in front of their TV sets. For many of us television became the main source of entertainment.

TV brings immediate and first hand information with pictures and about anything happening any time anywhere in the world. Television is a very important means of education and broadening people’s horizons. Channels like Discovery, National Geographic and History popular in the USA are highly educative and informative. They give us the knowledge of different things, different people and their social and religious customs, their problems and lifestyle. It allows you to see things and places that you otherwise probably wouldn't see. If you don't have the money to travel the world, you can learn about places and people that you wouldn't know about otherwise. Television is used to promote commercial, social and political agendas. Use of public service announcements, news and current affairstelevision advertisement,  and talk shows are used to influence public opinion. I think that the main reason of the popularity of television is that it enables us to forget about the real world for some time. For several minutes, we become a part of some other reality. We watch the lives of other people. We laugh with them and we cry, when something bad happens to them. The characters from the films and programs seem to be very close to us. Is it good or bad everybody should decide by oneself. But we have to remember that television is a very powerful medium. It influences our life. It gives us a lot of information, but at the same time it shows much rubbish and unnecessary things. We all should make reasonable decision, concerning what to watch and not.

TV and CIEMATOGRAPHY.TV is one of the greatest achievements of the 20-th century. It is the most powerful medium of all. Today every family has a TV-set. Whether we realise it or not, TV plays a very important part in our lives. Cinematography is the creation of motion picture images. It can involve the use of film or digital imagery, usually with a movie camera. It is closely related to the art of still photography. Many additional technical difficulties and creative possibilities arise when the camera and elements of the scene may be in motion. TV will never oust the cinematography and on the contrary. In spite of the fact that nowadays television is so developed and has an uncounted amount of programs to show on, it will never oust the art of cinematography. Just look how many movies are shown on TV every day. People like movies and neither reality shows nor entertainment programs can replace a good movie. One of the biggest factors that make us feel like watching films at cinemas is the bigger screen and realer sound we can enjoy there. We can invite friends to the house and watch the film together, but I still do not think it is a great idea, because nowhere can we find as many people watching the same movie as in a cinema. On the other hand cinematography also can’t satisfy all needs of the auditory. Television gives us a great variety of choices what to watch. Great amount of programs on different topics are especially created for people with different tastes, of diff age and so on.

Higher education in England. Students usually enter university from age 18 onwards, and study for an academic degree. The typical first degree offered at English universities is the bachelor's degree, and usually lasts for three years. Many institutions now offer an undergraduate master's degree as a first degree, which typically lasts for four years. During a first degree students are known as undergraduates. The difference in fees between undergraduate and traditional postgraduate master's degrees makes taking an undergraduate master's degree as a first degree a more attractive option. Postsecondary Education in Britain. In all of the United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) there are about 115 universities and another 140 "colleges" of such specialties as fine arts, music and drama, technology or education. A typical British university enrolls 6,000 to 12,000 students, with only the very largest one or two accommodating more than 20,000. Examinations.Almost invariably you will be expected to "sit" an examination at the end of each of your courses. In some courses, this final examination may be the only evaluation of your work. Generally there will be fewer assessed papers and tests in British classes than you are used to. Degree Programs. Most bachelor's degree programs in the UK are three years (6 semesters or 9 terms) long. This abbreviated time period recognizes that students engage in focused work in a narrow range of discipline as undergraduates. Famous Universities: Cambridge, Edinburgh University, Imperial College, Oxford, Queens' University, St Andrews.
