2. My Time off. Hobby

I thing everyone should find a hobby which is both pleasant and useful for him.

Actually there are many things I like to do in my free time. I like music and movies. Sometimes I read or walk with my friends. It depends on my mood.

But what I practice regularly is swimming.Fortunately, there is a swimming pool not far from my house, and I go there twice a week. And I really feel much better after the training. Physical activity is very important for health. I exercise to be fit and healthy. It gives me a lot of energy.

I like to read books because every story is a whole new world. I read different books: adventures, science fiction, fantasy, Classic, love stories . I like very much books about love stories .

One of my favorite writers is Jack London.

Fortunately some of my friends like reading too. So we can discuss interesting books.I think reading is an excellent hobby because it makes you broad-minded.

3.My University Life. Polessky State University.

Students are the future of every country. Student life is the brightest period of our life. It is a mixture of studies and great fun.

A student must attend all the classes, do all the work at the right time, be punctual and disciplined.

Most of the student’s time is devoted to reading and learning.

A good student never wastes his spare time uselessly. Student life broadens the mind, develops your talents and communication skills. And this is a wonderful time when you find real friends among your groupmates at university.

Polessky State University is educational establishment formed in 2006 to train specialists for various fields of national economy.

Educational process of Polessky State University provides students with conditions that would encourage them to work efficiently to become a staff of high educational moral quality.

The University supports relations with many domestic and foreign academic, financial, business institutions.

Sport activities are also in high reputation. The University provides sport facilities and organizes sport competitions. There is a big modern stadium, swimming pool and skating-rink at students' disposal.

4.My University Life

5. Sport

People all over the world like sport. It makes you healthier, keeps you fit and it's just a great pastime! In Belarus a huge amount of attention was always given to sport, especially in schools, colleges and universities, people go for yoga, body-building, aerobics, swimming, skating or jogging. Sport also plays an important role in the life of the British. The national British sports are football, golf, cricket, table and lawn tennis, snooker, steeplechase, racing, darts.

As for me, I'm interested in different kinds of sports. In summer I like to swim. I'm very fond of volleyball, table tennis, badminton .

6. Healthy Life Style

Human body is a very complex mechanism. We should think of our health and lead a healthy lifestyle.

To stay healthy people need to do sports, eat healthy food such as fruit and vegetables, fish and meat, sleep well and give up bad habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol, doing drugs. Junk food is very bad for your health, so you should forget about fast food, snacks, soda, and sweets. Eating fatty food will cause obesity and heart problems.

Today a lot of people lead sedentary lifestyle. A lot of people think that you need go to gym to keep fit, but in fact they can work-out at home.

7.At the Doctor’s

If we caught cold, have a splitting headache, have a clogged nose, cough, temperature, we must go to the policlinic. First we come to the registry. The registry asks your name, address, age. He writes out slip, because specialist will examine us.If necessary, doctor can listen heart and lungs, make our blood analysis, take our blood pressure and x-ray us.

Then we go to our district doctor. A nurse gives us a thermometer to take our temperature. The doctor examines us and diagnoses. Then he writes out a prescription for some medicines: pills, powder, drops, and mixture.

8.My Future Profession

My future profession is a rehabilitation instructor. In my opinion, this is a necessary and responsible profession. Rehabilitation is an important part of the complex treatment of sick and disabled people. After strokes, severe injuries and other problems, the patient needs a recovery period. Having experience in emergency medicine, I decided to go further and not stop there. I want to continue to help people, but already in the process of their recovery.

9.The Olympic Games

The first Olympic Games took place in Olympia in 776 BC. There were a lot of wars in Greece back then. The Games had to stop these wars. The Games took place every 4 years .Women didn’t take part in the Games and couldn’t even watch. There are many Olympic Symbols: a flag, a motto, an oath, medals and , a flame. On the flag, there are 5 rings of different colors that represent 5 continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Americas. The Olympic motto is “Citius. Altius. Fortius.”, which means “Faster. Higher. Stronger”. Before the Games begin, all the athletes must swear an Olympic oath. Winners of the Games are awarded with medals: gold, silver and bronze.

10.English as a World language.

Now English is one of the most common languages in the world, which is spoken by perhaps 400 million people1.

English is popular music , movies , books, correspondence, business communication, international education. Also English is the language of technology, business, international politics and science. It is also a computer language. . It is English is the official language of the UK, Great Britain, Nothern Ireland, USA, Australia, New Zealand.

The knowledge of the English language is vital in many professions. The ability to speak English increases an individual’s employability – which is a big plus in today’s competitive times. All these facts and figures prove the importance of knowing English for future research and professional career.

11. Each Man is a Creator of a Temple Called the Human Body

12.Ecology and health

In the past 50 years, humans have changed ecosystems more rapidly and extensively than in any comparable period of time in human history.

Large numbers of plant and animal species have been driven to extinction, and most marine fisheries are severely depleted. Positive carbon balance has resulted in global climate change, greenhouse gas effects, and increased acidification of oceans .

Nitrous oxides are greenhouse gas and ozone precursors.

Nitrates contaminate ground and surface water, attendant health risks, and fish depletion.

Humans are at risk from inorganic and organic pollutants present in food and water.

Air pollution reduces quality of health and lowers life expectancy.

Today, nearly one in three people suffer from some form of malnutrition and much of the world’s population is affected by diet-related diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
