STUDENT'S LIFE

Let me introduce myself

My name is Olga Smirnova. I am 17 years old. I was born in Voronezh. I have got father, mother, grandmother and two sisters. We all live together in a large and comfortable flat. My father is a doctor. He is 40 years old. He is very busy. He has a lot of patients and does all he can to help them. My mother is an economist. She works in an office. She has a lot of work to do. Still she finds time to look after the house and take care of all of us. My elder sister is a fourth-year student of the University. Every day she attends lectures. In January and June she takes examinations. When she graduates from the University she wants to become a journalist. She is not married. My younger sister is a schoolgirl. She is going to become an economist as our mother. She studies well. Her favourite subjects are Mathematics, in formation Technology and English. She is good at Maths and often takes part in different competitions.

I have also a grandmother. My grandmother cooks well. She is a pensioner. She does most of the cooking and often tries to prepare something special for us. If we are not busy we all try to do something useful by the house. I like my family very much. In the evening we all come together and either look TV or just talk about the events of the day. There are good traditions in our family. We usually celebrate all the holidays at home and have birthday parties. My uncle is a geologist. He travels much around the country and is a good teller. He lives not far from our house and visits us if he is in the city. His wife is a teacher. They have charming twins; a boy and a girl.

We are always very glad to see them all.

I have got many friends. We like to spend our spare time together, discuss our problems, listen to tape-recordings or watch new video films.
