8. Seasons and weather

The year is divided into four seasons: they are winter, spring, summer and autumn.

Winter comes in December and ends in February. Winter is one of the most beautiful seasons, because of snowy weather. Lake, rivers are frozen. In winter we celebrate Christmas, New Year and these two holidays make us fell good inside, ’cause the weather outside is cold and snowy, while we’re sitting at home in front of fireplace. But in winter we can get sick, so we must be careful with the weather and take care of our health.

March, April and May are spring months. The weather in spring gets gradaully warmer. Spring is the awakness of the nature. Fields are covered with a green grass. But, sometimes there’s a rainy weather, but it’s not big problem, because the rain is necessary for plants in the garden. Spring is so beatiful season.

Then the summer. Summer begins in June ends in August. It is the warmest season of the year. Everything still blooms and this season is the awakness of the nature too. It’s the kids favorite season because of school ending. However, even adults like this season. It’s pleasant to spend summer by the seaside or by the river. In summer days are long and nights are short. But, sometimes the weather can be cloudy and there are storms, thunders, lightning and hails. Despite of these factors, this season everyone’s favorite one.

Then the school beginning. I mean autumn. Autumns months are September, October and November. It is the harvest time. People are gathering the harvest which were grown in spring or summer. This season turns leaves yellow and brown, which looks beautiful. The sky is grey and it often rains. Many people hate this season, especially kids, because of school beginning, but in spite of this autumn as for me is the most beautiful season. I really love this season, because of beautiful nature, the yellow-brown leaves which are cover the path or a big space in the forests or in the park.

Every season has its own advantages and disadvantages. Winter is cold but due to snow it’s very beautiful. Spring sometimes can give us snowy weather, especially in March, but this season is to very beautiful, because of green trees and fields. Summer is hot and somebody can get a fever due to hot weather, but the weather makes us feel good because we can swim in the river or in the sea and drink many cold drinks and eat ice-cream. Autumn is the rainiest season in the year.

Earth is dearer than gold

Of course, we must take care about our planet, because nowadays the environmental problem is the problem number 1. Large cities with thousands of factories are polluting the air. And than, we breathe it. In some countries there’s no drinkable water anymore. People are destroying a lot of hectares forests and selling trees abroad. After that we have floods in cities, towns and villages, more and more polluted air. Rivers and lakes are full of industrial waste. Seas and oceans are full of trash. There’s even a large island made of a big amount of trash in the Atlantic Ocean. This summer scientists fixed the biggest temperature in Europe. In Australia first in the history fell a 2 metered snow. People can’t realize that they’re killing their own planet. A lot of nuclear stations in a big cities pollutes the environment due to radiation. In 26 April 1986 it happened the worst nuclear accident in the history. In Pripyat, Ukraine was the Chernobyl plant explosion. It was the large city. People lived there in comfort. But, this day the last for this city. Radiation polluted not only this city, but another countries, which have a board with Ukraine and not even. It was peoples’ mistake. Now the living conditions in the Pripyat are not the best. Many people were evacuated, cause radiation has a carcinogenic affect. There’s a lot of alternatives for such things. More advanced countries are using the alternative ways to get energy. It can be wind, sun or water. In Denmark for example people are using the wind energy. There are many wind plants. So, it’s not wonder that in Denmark are living the happiest people in the world and this country the less polluted. In Netherlands people aren’t using cars and any such transports. They’re using bikes and they say that it is the best way travel. So we must take an example from Danish and Dutch people, because they’re know how to take care about our planet and we have to do it as well. It’s true EARTH IS DEARER THAN GOLD and we have to appreciate it.
