Our University.

The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (the former Minsk Radioenginering Institute) was founded 40 years ago -in 1964.,

Today our University is training engineers in 13 specialities and 29 specializations in the field of computer science, microelectronics, radioengineering, communication, automated system of information processing, broadcasting, medical electronics.

There are about 1000 teachers at the University - they are professors, doctors of sciences, academicians, candidates of sciences.

There are 7 departments at our University: Computer Design Department, Information technologies and Control Department, Radioengineering and Electronics Department, Computer System and Networks Department, Evening and Correspondence Department Economic Department.

Today we have all the necessary facilities for teaching. Our

laboratories are equipped with modern computers, up-to-date devices.

The University has its own newspaper Pulse. There is a swimming-pool, a sport complex and the stadium. Our students practice basket-ball, volley-ball, wrestling, gymnastics.

About 2400 students live in 2 hotels with modern conveniences.
