1. Перевести письменно деловое письмо с русского языка на английский.

2. Читать и переводить без словаря разделы лоции: «Огни», «Буи и береговые знаки», «Опасности», «Якорные стоянки».

3. Подавать команды, относящиеся к рулевому управлению, машинному отделению, отдаче якоря, швартовке, буксировке. Ведение диалога с преподавателем по заданной ситуации от имени вахтенного помощника.

4. Беседовать на темы «Лоцманская проводка»; «Прохождение узкостями», «Постановка судна на якорь», «Швартовка», «Буксировка».

5. Уметь использовать стандартные фразы для моряков.

I. Translate the following texts into Russian:

1. Customs

The work of examining goods and of control1ing the landing of goods or their shipment for exportation is performed by the officers of customs and excise stationed at the docks or wharves concerned. The ship's reports and the importers’ entries for goods are sent from the Custom House to the landing officer (as he is often called), who examines the goods to see whether they correspond in description, quantity, value and duty liability to their description; on the entry. А number of these officers are stationed at bonded warehouses where dutiable goods are stored without payment of duty. There they control the receipt and delivery of goods and any operation on the goods which may be allоwеd in warehouse.

2. Directions

Having entered by Н. Southern entrance and after passing northward or southward of Н. а vessel should steer to pass about one cable northward of К. and join the track of the northern entrance about 1¹/₂ miles west-north-westward of Н. beacon; thence she should steer to pass about 3 cables southward of G. light-structure.

А vessel proceeding to А. by the buoyed channel mentioned on page 302 should, after passing М. alter course south-south-westward and steer with М. leading light-structure in line, bearing 203⁰, thence after passing north, westward of М.Е. and А., the vessel should proceed through C., passing eastward or westward of Т., and then through А.
